PART 1 - WE MUST BE AWARE OF OUR ENEMY

The devil controls this world through his army. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)(KJV).

His army probably includes fallen angels and demons. We don’t fight directly against the fallen angels or probably the higher ranked demons. We pray for God to deal with them. We DO fight directly against the demons who try to control us at the ground level. Among the ways we fight them is by binding them and casting them out of us (deliverance). Casting out demons is part of our great commission.

There is a big problem in the world right now. It’s that we are ignorant of the ways of the devil. We know nothing about his army. How can we fight against an enemy we know nothing about? The American church has really dropped the ball. Christians remain ignorant of how demons influence us and how to fight them.

PART 2 - DEMONS PUSH US TOWARDS WORLDLINESS

The world (the devil and his army) and the Holy Spirit are in a battle for our minds. Who do we choose to follow? The devil and the ways of this world or the Holy Spirit? For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. (Galatians 5:17)(KJV). We are sanctified (going to heaven) as long as we are following the Holy Spirit. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law (Galatians 5:18)(KJV).

Actors and actresses know in order to make a name for themselves they have to take roles that are entertaining to people. This means that their character must be interesting in a worldly way. What’s a worldly character look like? It’s someone who is quite violent, extremely sexy, crudely funny, money motivated, and powerful. It could be a superhero who gets their source of powers from anything other than the Holy Spirit. These are the characters that make up most of what we see on TV and in movies. Afterall, how interesting to the world would the role of a humble, simple person who wants to act in a way that’s pleasing to God be?

When a TV or movie star acts in worldly roles, they are making a deal with demons. They are opening themselves up for demons to enter them. The demons know that if they can get into an actor or actress, they will be able to express their evil agenda to the world through TV and movies.

PART 3 - SIGNS OF DEMONIC INFLUENCE

INCREASED ACTING ABILITY FOR WORLDLY ROLES -

Ever notice that Christian movies and TV shows don’t seem to have the same quality as worldly movies and TV shows? Among the reasons this may seem to be true is that demons can impart special abilities to people, including acting ability.

By opening oneself up to demons, a mediocre actor can receive great acting skills, charisma, and presence that he didn’t have before. In exchange for these qualities, the actor just has to allow the demons to carry out their worldliness through him.

Let’s take a look at a couple television/movie stars, Oprah Winfrey and Denzel Washington. Denzel apparently is a Christian. Oprah on the other hand isn’t. DEMONIC SYMBOLISM -

For some reason, demons that are in people like to show off the fact that they are in their host person. They often do this through symbolism. Common symbols include the “OK” or “666” sign (especially over an eye), covering one eye, devil horns, pyramid/Illuminati sign/Roc sign, V sign or sign of Pan...

UNGODLY BEHAVIOR IN PERSONAL LIFE -

Once the actor gets famous and develops a lot of social media followers and the paparazzi records everything they do, the demons will start expressing themselves in the actor’s personal life. The actor may start using drugs, abusing alcohol, and developing sex perversions. Maybe the actor will start following a false religion like Scientology, Kabala, Islam, or Satanism.

The actor will live a lavish lifestyle. Money and possessions will become idols, if they weren't already. Pride will become an issue and entitlement will creep into the actor. With pride and entitlement, the actor will then become easily offended and develop into a social justice warrior. The actor’s personal life and screen roles will become more and more anti-Christian.

When the above scenario happens over and over with famous actors and actresses, the world will become numb to it. These ungodly traits will become more the norm for society.

PART 4 - BEWARE OF IDOLATRY AND DISTRACTION

Do you know anyone who likes to sit in front of the TV every night? Maybe even for hours on end? It’s how they choose to “unwind” and “relax” at the end of the day. THIS IS A TRAP! The people who are ignorant of the demonic world are clueless about this.

TV, movies, social media, the internet, and video games can very easily become idols and demonic distractions. Disciples are supposed to be God focused in everything they do. When we watch TV or movies, we are not focusing on God. Not only do we give up our focus on God, but we get bombarded with demonic ideals!

Americans are surrounded by food. Really good tasting food. This has caused a high level of obesity in our society.

Much like food, all Americans have access to televisions. Televisions are helping cause us to move towards an ungodly society. What a bad example we are for our children when they see us sit in front of the TV every night. Many hobbies aren’t developed, relationships don’t develop any depth, the body stops moving and becomes unhealthy, positive changes don’t occur, we don’t deepen our relationship with God...all because of a TV watching habit. DISCIPLES MUST RECOGNIZE THIS AS DEMONIC BAIT!

Watching a lot of television, movies, looking at social media and the internet, and playing video games are distractions that prevent us from staying vigilantly focused on God, which is the key to forging ourselves into disciples.

PART 5 - WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT

Probably the best thing we can do is get rid of our televisions. What we don’t realize is that it will actually make us happier. We will learn to pace ourselves and look at the day in its entirety rather than feeling like we need to mentally focus for part of it and then allow our minds to shut off during another part of it to recuperate.

We shouldn’t let our children watch a lot of TV, be on the computer or phone a lot, or play video games much. If we allow it, we are allowing demons to influence them. We must not be afraid to tell our children “no.”

Once we reduce TV, movie, computer, phone, and video game time, it’s time to cast out the demons that may be in us. By removing the demons, we will remove the strong craving to continue in those idolic distractions.

When the source is removed and the demons are removed, it’s time to renew our minds. This is done by any way that is appealing at any given time. It may be through reading the bible, listening to the bible, praying, watching videos related to Christianity, listening to podcasts related to Christianity, etc. This vigilant seeking of God will sanctify us and prepare us for the end times.
